National Poetry Recognition for Maricopa Christian Academy Students

The Kentucky State Poetry Society has a wonderful poetry contest open to students nationally. We usually try and enter student poems each year. All students K-10 write up to five poems. Then the student and I pick the one we think is their best work.

This year we had two third-place winners. One from the fourth grade and another student in the sixth grade. Sasha won third place in Category 1 for her poem, "Tomatoes." Neveah tied for third place in Category 2 with the poem, "Family."

Congratulations to both girls for the recognition of their fine writing skills.
