Teaching Microsoft Skills at Maricopa Christian Academy

I have been looking for something to replace the text I have been using to teach Word and Excel to my students for the past nineteen years. The company has made it more difficult to use and support my students in learning the basic skills of Microsoft products.

After a year of searching, I have settled on an excellent textbook from B.E. Publishing. The fine textbook is shown above.

It is an excellent book teaching basic skills. It is filled with a lot of projects to apply the new skills.

There is an added bonus. The textbook has been aligned with the skills assessed in the Microsoft Office Specialist Word Associate Certification Exam. This is important to me because I want my students to have many resume boosters to support success in their future careers and schooling.

Microsoft Word is offered to our students after mastery of the Keyboard Skills course.
