Maricopa Christian Academy Essay Winners at the VFW

Congratulations to two of our eighth-grade students, Grace Jackson and Drake Amerman for being recognized for their writing in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) essay contest in December. Both students attended an awards ceremony held at the Maricopa VFW building. Grace received second place and Drake was awarded first place.


Drake's first-place essay was sent on to the Pinal County competition where he won first place again. He and his family enjoyed a very nice dinner and awards ceremony in Casa Grande.


Drake's essay now moves on to the state-wide competition held in January.


Congratulations to both students for the recognition of their writing skills and thank you to both families for dressing so nicely..
